Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger saw no problem with Alexis Sánchez showing frustration after being subbed off.
Arsenal claimed a win in their 21st round league fixture against Swansea City AFC. The game ended with the score of 0 – 4; Olivier Giroud scored the first goal in the 37th minute, Alex Iwobi took two shots which both got deflected into the net and Alexis, scoring the fourth goal (his 14th in the Premier League), sealed the game.
Shortly after his goal, Alexis was subbed off at the 79th minute with Danny Welbeck. He was seen with his coat over his head showing an unsatisfied reaction over Wenger’s decision.
Due to negative speculations about his new contract talks recently, the media started connecting his frustration with his future at Arsenal.
But, Wenger turned down the controversy in his post-match interview. He told that most players are actually not happy about being subbed off; it is a matter of culture between different nationalities whether to show this frustration or not. Arsenal manager went on to conclude the situation as a minor incident.
