Olivier Giroud might have a problem with his ankle after his goal at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.
Arsenal gained three points after their 0 – 4 win against Swansea City AFC. Giroud scored an opener in the 37th minute but right away looked uncomfortable, signaling for substitution at the bench.
He managed to stay on for the second half but got subbed off in the 60th minute with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. He was treated immediately on the bench leaving concerns for the fans watching the game.
Arsène Wenger, in his post-match interview, told that Giroud might have picked up a knock on his ankle. He is still not sure how bad the injury might be since Giroud still needs to be assessed more carefully by the team doctor.
Giroud’s recent performance brought him back to the starting line-up and was a great boost for the team. If his injury turns out to be serious, Arsenal might have a problem with their title challenge.
