La Liga giant Atlético Madrid seems to be serious about their pursuit for Arsenal’s biggest star Alexis Sánchez.
It is reported that Atlético Madrid is preparing for a £220,000-a-week offer to Alexis in order to bring him to Wanda Metropolitano, their new stadium from 2017-18 season.
Arsenal has recently offered Alexis a £180,000-a-week deal but considering how much other top stars in the league are getting, this offer from Arsenal doesn’t seem to be satisfying Alexis yet. It is already known that Alexis himself wants a maximum of £250,000-a-week offer from the club in order to sign on that extension paper.
On top of this, Atlético Madrid also might be expecting an exit from their biggest star after this season. Antoine Griezmann could be on his way to Manchester United FC and Atlético Madrid is looking to fill in that gap with Alexis Sánchez. Atlético Madrid will have plenty of budget after selling Griezmann, so money is not their problem.
The key to this contract extension issue between Alexis and Arsenal lies on how much wage Alexis is offered with. Arsenal needs to make a decision soon if they want to keep their star player.
